The Catari FA-48® facade scaffolding was the ideal choice for this project, where the aim was to create an advertising facade while carrying out reconstruction works on this iconic building, located right in the heart of Porto's historic center.
Acting since 2013 as a hub with multiple cultural activities, the building was bought by Gaspar Ferreira group, and was transformed into a five-star hotel of the Eurostars chain with 144 rooms and three stores, the unit opened in 2021. Designed in 1955 by the architect Júlio de Brito, the vacant seven-storey building that became known as Edifício Garantia / AXA, is an iconic construction of the city of Porto, in the heart of Avenida dos Aliados.
The more than 2 million tourists that Porto receives annually make the 3220 m2 facade very attractive to the media, which is why subcontracting the facade for advertising purposes applied to the Catari scaffold proved to be an excellent bet by Clearspot.
