Process Engineering and Continuous Improvement Manager

Position Objective

Act as a technical leader in the process engineering area, responsible for the strategic definition, optimisation, and continuous improvement of production processes, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, quality, and cost reduction, while supporting production and other technical departments of the company.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead strategic continuous improvement projects that deliver clear and measurable results in efficiency and cost reduction;

• Map, document, and standardise complex production processes (flowcharts, work instructions, FMEA, etc.);

• Actively support the development and industrialisation of new products;

• Effectively analyse and resolve critical failures in industrial processes, collaborating with departments such as quality, maintenance, and production;

• Evaluate and implement advanced technologies, automations, and innovative methods to enhance performance;

• Ensure strict compliance with technical, environmental, safety, and quality standards;

• Train operators and technicians in implemented processes and standards;

• Actively participate in internal and external audits, taking the lead in defining and implementing corrective actions for processes;

• Manage and develop the technical process engineering team.

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Automation Engineering or similar;

• Specialisation in Lean Manufacturing, Project Management or related areas (preferred);

• Solid experience in leading strategic projects in industrial process engineering;

• Proven experience in automation implementation, complex process optimisation, and effective change management;

• Proficiency in Lean tools, Six Sigma, FMEA, SMED, SPC, 5S, and TPM;

• Advanced skills in Excel, AutoCAD, statistical tools (Minitab, Power BI, etc.), and strong interpretation of technical drawings and production flows;

• Intermediate to advanced English, with the ability to communicate effectively in technical contexts, both verbally and in writing.
