Catari Portugal is present at this exhibition with a project in partnership with curator Anita Gonçalves, throughout the development of the whole process.

Pieces in pieces: figurines and costume

"The exhibition "Pieces in pieces: figurines and costume" is the result of a partnership between the National Museum of the Costume, the National Museum of Theatre and Dance, the National Theatre of São João and Escola Superior de Arte e Deign/ESAD, Matosinhos.
Seeking to rescue from shows from the National Theater of São João its plastic-symbolic component, this exhibition aims to reveal and show the place of the costumes on a stage. Thus, developed in two sections that occupy part of both National Museum of the Costume and National Museum of the Theater and Dance, there are presented costumes of António Lagarto, Bernardo Monteiro, Cristina Lopes, João Tuna or Nuno Carinhas, among others, scene photos, synopses of the plastic design of the costumes, drawings and teasers projected.
The curatorship of the exhibition is by Anita Gonçalves. The exhibition will be on display until the end of May. "

This exhibition was designed with the use of the Catari US® system to adapt multi-directional scaffold structures with integrated lighting and study of grid panels to suspend images and photographs regarding each of the exposed pieces.

The link between the two Museums, National Museum of the Costume and National Museum of Theater and Dance, was established and published by the Botanical Park of Monteiro-Mor, being marked throughout the way with 6 towers with mupis containing the pieces that are on display; turning it into an harmonious connection between the two exhibition spaces.
